As we look back into the Pasty Cam archives each day, we find many interesting places and scenes that have been featured throughout the past 19 years. Early on, in 1999, we were taken under the Portage Lift Bridge for a glimpse we don't see every day. That's the Powerhouse in the background there on the Houghton waterfront. This was snapped before the major restoration of that historic building into what is now the SmartZone, housing a number of flourishing businesses.
In 2002, we headed south to Escanaba with Donn de Yampert, where he was looking for the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. I'm not sure if he found any riches there, but he did capture a great shot of the Escanaba River Dam that day.
The archive look-back today has taken us under a bridge and over a dam, so it's only right that we head down a river. The third shot was taken during one of our recent "Spring snow events", by Judy Byykkonen. That's the Traprock River as it flows under the Valley Road. We've had more than our share of snow this spring... it's May now, so it can stop that anytime.
For your viewing pleasure, we're back in Escanaba. We get to see the sights and hear the sounds of the Escanaba River Dam in a video from Dottie May, taken on a late April day in 2013. We hope you're enjoying our video explorations as much as we are!

Cool pix & video! The dam looks like the scenes from the South Central United States, except without the flooding.
