With all the spring melt off of the winter snow and the rain we've been having lately, the rivers here UP North are running strong, like in today's photos from the Pasty Cam archives. We start off with a glimpse of the Silver River, which is five miles east of L'Anse. In 2005, Nate Alwine shared the top photo of the crew he kayaks river rapids with. That's what you'd call white rapids I'm thinking and it sure looks like it would be quite the adrenaline rush. But thanks, I'll just watch the fun from here.
Stretching back one year further, to 2004, Clyde Elmbald snapped a shot of the bridge over the Falls River in L'Anse, which was really moving that year, too. If this view looks familiar, it's because you can see it from US41 as you're passing by.
Finally we are transported right into the driver's seat April four years ago at Silver River, where you’ll have to hold your breath as we flip in the hole at the bottom of the falls. Slip on your wet suit, grab your helmet and hang on!

That looks like fun, something I would have tried in my prime. These outdoor videos sure are timely and appreciated, since I can no longer get out there to enjoy.

I'm with you Alex. Looks great but I can't have that kind of fun anymore.

Great pictures, but you couldn't pay me to get in that kayak! Brave soul!
