Lake Superior and her shoreline has been featured in the past 19 years too many times to count. Lake Michigan, not so much, but back in 2011, Brenda Leigh was there and found little snow and ice there on the beach. What she did find, though, was an almost buried picnic table. Sure must have been some wild wave action to make that happen.
The shoreline of both these Great Lakes varies in winter accumulation from year to year, as this photo from the 2013 archive shows. Bill Marlor and friends were up near the Keweenaw tip, with a good ice cap still on the rocky shore there.
Brenda Leigh switched Great Lakes in the third photo and is standing on Lake Superior's eastern shore this past week, near Brimley. Again, depending on the year and even the spot, there is always a varied amount of snow in the spring. Still some snow on land here, but doesn't look like much of anything in the water that day.
Today's video takes us once more to Lake Michigan, on the shores of Menominee, MI, where in 2014, they experienced some amazing "ice shove" activity. WLUK-TV Fox 11, out of Green Bay, WI covered the story on their nightly news program back then. Click on the video and get ready to say, WOW

Nice photos and review. If I was the one standing in that second pic it would be my luck that the ice cap would snap and I'd be in the drink!! Too close to the edge for me!! :=))

Ha, i was thinking the same thing, UC! But with my luck i'd just start sliding and not be able to stop the momentum before ending up in the waves!
