Many of the birds that reside in the Keweenaw are really snowbirds that fly south for the winter months, returning as spring begins to warm things UP here. Then there are some that live just south of the U.P. and sometimes make a visit to our more northern bird feeders, like the beautiful red Cardinal that Fred Koski captured back in 2006.
