When looking back through the archives you'll notice many days that featured photos with some type of sign. For instance, back in 2004, Dan Brown shared a sign that he, along with a few friends, found behind Marquette Mountain when they were getting ready to do some rappelling. Kind of an odd place for a Chevy ad, actually.

Another sign, again in Marquette, is the Lake Superior & Ishpeming Railroad Presque Isle Ore Dock sign, located right in front of the dock there in the harbor. This 2010 shot from Rod Burdick is neat because it shows the signage, the ore dock and the Charles M. Beeghly in port.

Signs aren't always in writing, though, as the bottom photo from Sharon Bodenus shows us today. That's her granddaughter and friends enjoying a March picnic in 40° weather, a sign that when the sun shines we get antsy for summer activities. And before you say anything, 40° is warm for us Yoopers this time of year.

Following along with what I said about "signs" in the last paragraph, our video adventure today is another sign that Yoopers are getting sick of the cold and snow and will do anything to get through it. Have fun watching the skiers at Marquette Mountain during the Spring Slush Cup 2013 in 12° weather, choreographed with a song you either loved or hated during that time.

That'll wake ya up in the morning...who needs Starbucks!

You can tell the people who admitted defeat right off and wore their swimsuits. I'm impressed by the guy who made it all the way across!!

As for the Spring Slush thing, I'm with JBuck Count me out. That's not something I would even like to watch.
