Fifteen years ago, Cam Notes started by saying the Pasty Cam had been outside all week, so I looked back in the past two weeks here and we've been doing much of the same, viewing ice and snow, even though it is technically spring now. So back then in 2002, Peggy Riemer warmed us up by her fireplace and we're doing the same today. After all the icy scenes and videos lately, I think we need it.
OK, that's long enough, back outside we go, with Brenda Leigh in 2012. She took an early morning hike around Monocle Lake in the Brimley area and was treated to several icicle kisses that formed just above the water. With the sun just coming up, it made them sparkle like jewels.
Just so you don't lose heart that we're never going to see spring, we take you back to 2011 when Donna MacIntosh shared the first Robin she spotted in her Baraga backyard feeding station that year. I've heard of several locals seeing Robins already this year, too, so spring can't be too far behind.
In case you've forgotten what they look and sound like, we have a Spring clip of a returning Robin to refresh your memory. Pretend you're looking out your window and think Spring!

These pictures are awesome! I love the look of the fire burning. When I've gone out to let the dog out in the morning, the robins are out there just singing away. I totally love that sound. I love spring!!

Nicely done! That robin appeared to be conducting the orchestra.

I like the picture of the ice candy kisses. That's pretty cool. No robins in my backyard yet.

My son sent me a photo of robins on the MTU campus on March 19. I didn't see or hear any robins in the Muskegon area until just a couple of days ago.
