I'm going to go out a limb here today to say that among the innumerable photos of animals that have appeared on the Pasty Cam in the past 19 years, deer shots are probably the most plentiful. One of the more memorable ones was featured in 2004, when Lynn K. shared a shot of a somewhat tame deer named Tinkerbell that was on the roof of her shed one morning. You can see the "hunter orange" bandana Tinkerbell wore to let hunters know she was actually quite tame and not to shoot her.
Fast forward ten years to 2014 and we're in Eagle River with Elizabeth Ann, feeding the deer at the roadside park there. It's always a good bet you'll find a number of them there.
And to show that we've featured more than just deer in the past years, we share the Shoebox Memory from 2016 on this day, which was from the Mary Long photo collection, featuring a horse and buggy trotting around Eagle River back in the day.
Often times when you're in Eagle River watching the deer at the park, you'll see some competition among the herd for the best spot to dine. Today's video recorded by Zach Jordan captured some of that behavior in the one minute clip he made. Quite the flurry of activity that day.

Interesting video! I didn't realize deer were so rambunctious.
