I'm sure you can imagine the number of animals that we've featured on our daily photo adventure throughout the past 19 years. There have been lions and tigers and bears, oh my! And cattle and deer herds and chicks to buy...

The cattle were captured in their pasture by Ashley Byykkonen during the winter of 2006. She seems to have their attention, too, as they're all looking at her. She might have gotten them to smile if she'd have had some hay to bribe them with. I counted 6, possibly 7 cattle there.

The winter before, in 2005, Bill Haller took a ride to Eagle River to check out the deer herd there at the roadside park. I counted 38 of them in the Bill's photo and you know there are some out of view of the lens. That's a whole bunch of deer.

Then just last year, in 2016, Ashlee Harvey was checking out the baby chicks at the local supply store, picking out which ones they were going to buy for their backyard hen coup. My best estimate for the chicks is 40 little peepers. So that makes 85 critters on the Pasty Cam just today.

I mentioned that the chicks are peepers... cute, little fuzzy babies, scurrying all around. Today's video has plenty of peeping going on from over 200 baby chicks (214 at last count). Check it out, they're little bundles of cuteness. And if you're still counting, that makes 299 animals on the Pasty Cam this day. I think that's a record!

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Dad raised Hereford cattle. So sweet and docile.

I agree, Deb...those crates look like boxes of Chicken McNuggets. Is it lunchtime yet?
Nice pix and video.

Soooooo cute! Went to a Rural King and almost came back home with a dozen of Khaki Campbell ducklings. Only for eggs, only for eggs...... they would become pets too soon!

I will be meeting my daughter's new chicks when I come UP next
weekend. Looking forward to it. Always love the animal pictures.
