When you look back throughout the thousands of photos in the past 19 years on the Pasty Cam, you'll often see shots of snowmobiling adventures. Today we remember 2001 when Daryl Laitila took us to Gay for a ride by that famous landmark, the Gay Smokestack.
Another snowmobiling photo on this date was snapped in 2006, by Erik Riutta along the Houghton waterfront trail at night. This is part of the trail system is the same trail used heavily in the summer months for walking, running and bike riding, too.
The next two photos happened this past weekend, when Jodi Corrigan and family headed to the Huron Mountain area for a ride. That's quite the view from UP there!
I've only been on a snowmobile a few times, so if like me, you haven't ridden very much, I'm sure you'll enjoy today's video ride from South Range to Brockway Mountain in Copper Harbor. The bonus is you don't have to get all bundled up against the cold.

Love the video! I did more snowmobiling watching that than I did here in snow starved Eastern Iowa! Snowmobiling across the lift bridge and trail #3 are my favorites!

Is that a can of Busch beer on the front of the green snowmobile in picture #3?

Busch when you're in the bush and Buds in the springtime. :-)
