When you have a camp on Lake Superior, you have to go there periodically during the winter months to check on things and make sure everything is holding up well with all the cold and snow here in the Keweenaw. That's just what Barb Bouwkamp and her husband, Tom did recently. Tom snowshoed in from the Big Traverse road where they parked, while Barb took the neighbor's driveway as her route and just walked it in her boots. She's since decided she needs warmer boots, as her feet began to freeze. By jbuck (Jbuck) on Saturday, February 11, 2017 - 10:15 am: Great February jaunt ~ we always liked to check things out this time of the year too. Sometimes the snow wouldn't allow us to get close enough to hike in tho! Hope all was in order! By Alex "UP-Goldwinger" (Alex) on Saturday, February 11, 2017 - 10:59 am: Love it...that'll keep ya in shape! By FRNash/PHX, AZ (Frnash) on Saturday, February 11, 2017 - 02:48 pm:
