Jeff Dennis and his daughter started Christmas morning in a different way this year. After opening presents, they headed from Lake Linden, to Hancock on the snowmobile trails, went to their church for Christmas morning services, then headed out for a ride around the Keweenaw.
They rode out to the Redridge area and stopped near the Dam there. And from there headed to the Atlantic Mine area where the view is quite scenic, looking across the way to the Quincy Hill with the Quincy Mine Shaft building standing out above the tree tops. The ride ended at Jeff's folk's home for Christmas dinner with the family.
What a unique memory Jeff and his little lady will share far into the future, the Christmas morning snowmobile fun run! Not all gifts come wrapped in pretty paper!

Reminds me of many fun rides we had together back in the 90's when Jonathan and Becky still lived at home with Edie and me in Eagle River. We would go out in pairs, and one of my favorite memories is when Becky and I took to the trails on a Saturday mid-winter morning. We ended up at Eagle Harbor Inn for breakfast :o) Jeff's daughter appears just about the age Becky was then. Great memories.
