Had my dear Edie lived to see another winter, she would have been excited with this one, considering how she loved to scoop snow. The second photo is at our 40th anniversary celebration in 2012, and the third photo is Edie with her Dad, seated in sunlight in their family cemetery a couple of years before both of them eventually reached that destination. Earlier this morning I posted the memorial video - with music I composed and performed - on Facebook and Youtube, and have appreciated all of the kind comments throughout the day. It just took me a little longer to get it here on pasty.com, because of the New Year changeover on the website.
Look forward to beginning Year #20 of the Pasty Cam in a couple of months. Thanks for joining us on the journey.
Happy New Year to you Charlie and to everyone.

Wow Charlie. What a tribute. Edie was a great lady and is certainly missed by everyone. I'm reminded of a song by Andrae Crouch, "Soon And Very Soon". What a great reunion that will be! Take care my friend.

My son was inspired, encouraged and loved by Edie so even though I did not know her or meet her personally, I knew her through Paul. She was amazing and her legacy continues through the people who were impacted by her. I ran a girls program for years and our motto was "Touch a Heart, Change a Life". Edie was a beautiful woman who touched hearts and changed lives.

Charlie, I am currently traveling down this same road with my wife. She is still fighting but God's calling is getting stronger each day. I did fine through most of the video as I compared our lives with dogs and a son. I kept the tears back until the picture of your beautiful Edie standing between the graves of my Great Grandparents and my Great Great Grandparents in the Marquette Cemetery. May God give you peace here on earth until your meet again.

I'm glad I visited this site today to get caught up on the UP happenings, but also to view the beautiful tribute to your Edie. One never knows when the ones that mean the most to you will no longer be around to share life with.
May your loss be tempered by your memories, Charlie. Thanks for sharing.

I'm just finally getting on to pasty this year. Have been very busy, not feeling well, and just sleeping a lot. Thank you for sharing these. I understand her love of scooping. I used to love to scoop snow also.
Not sure how I missed this. Way to go, Charlie...Edie would be pleased.

In the profundity of winter I at last discovered that there was in me a powerful summer. Impeccable satisfaction is wonderful dusk, the laugh of a grandkid, the main snowfall. It's the easily overlooked details that satisfy minutes, not the terrific occasions. Euphoria comes in tastes, not swallows. In seed time learn, Univers ity Assignment Writing in reap instruct, in winter appreciate.
