Jean Dessellier made a trek from the Keweenaw to Marquette recently and along the way she stopped to check out several rivers and creeks. She said they were all quite beautiful with the snowy coverings, but this one in particular was a favorite. Jean said this is Hickory Creek near the town of Champion.
The snow sure makes everything look brighter and cleaner, too, which is a welcome sight after the drab, gray of fall. It brings a magical touch to everything it covers, creating new beauty out of simple things like rivers and creeks that have been there all along, but go unnoticed until something like snowflakes bring it back to your attention.
This winter season, do like Jean did and take the time to notice the scenes around you and appreciate them for what they are... simply beautiful.

Beautiful pictures to look at. I can imagine the scene with the sun light sparkling off of the frost and snow. Thanks for sharing Jean.

What a beautiful group of pristine and serene pictures for the day we remember those who gave their lives at Pearl Harbor 75 years ago today.

Who indeed! I'd like to meet the flockers. :-) Were these pix taken in black-n-white?
