When we started Shoebox Memories over a decade ago, it was inspired by the typical scenario at that time, a shoebox full of old photographs collecting dust in a closet or chest somewhere. How times have changed! With the proliferation of cell phones, drones, youtube, facebook, etc., it seems that the new "Shoebox" for your memories... is in the Cloud. In fact, the cloud is filling up with tons of images - both moving and still-frame - as the culture trends away from hands-on materials (with its obvious risk of vulnerable media) toward that new vault 'out there somewhere' that seems to have endless capacity.

Wow, I didn't mean to become so philosophical. It's just a youtube video uploaded earlier this month, with two lovely young people exploring a number of venues the Pasty Cam has visited during the last 19 years. But someday, when the grandkids listen intently to Mamoo and Papa recalling the adventures of their youth - they just might stumble on this pleasant 5:20 minute memory. Enjoy.
