Today we take a look at what the color was like over in the Marquette area, courtesy of Christi Schmitt. Before I go any further, please note that these photos were taken about 10 days ago, so if you're heading out looking for color, you won't be seeing anything like this right now. Here on the Pasty Cam we get to make the fall beauty last a little longer than it really does.
Christi started her picture taking on this day, with the CR-510 Bridge. She's actually standing on the bridge that replaced the one pictured, which Marquette County kept rather than demolishing it after the new one was built. It has been preserved for its historic value and is open only to pedestrian traffic now. For more information about this historic bridge, check out the link above by clicking on the highlighted bridge name.
After that, Christi headed down the road bordered by a plethora of yellow leaves, until she came to Conway Lake in Marquette County, which I think is near the Huron Mountain area, please correct me if I'm wrong on this one as I'm not familiar with this part of the U.P. No matter where it is, though, the color around the lake that day was something to behold, also.

Beautiful area! Seeing it thru the eye of the camera is the next best thing to being there.
What is the color report from everyone? Was it a good year? Is it almost done where you are or is the landscape still painted in reds and golds and oranges?
