Photographs of photographers... some of my favorite of the span that connects Mackinaw City and St. Ignace. It just so happens, that first shot appeared just over 15 years ago, on October 9, 2001. It was taken by Paul Roberts, whom by coincidence I had dinner with last Sunday at the Hut (October 9). What are the odds? I hadn't seen Paul in years. Or you might have known him back then with the handle of 'GrizzlyAdams'

The other 2 photos have appeared before, but not quite in that arrangement. Looks like the bottom cameraman is spying on the one up on the beam. And then I realized... they are both being spied on, by whomever is behind the lense of the respective cameras. For that matter, they could have photographed each other.

It's a great time to come to the U.P. as the colors are still hanging on a few more days.

OSHA would never allow that maneuver to happen
today with no fall protection in place, safety
nets or a personal harness or scaffolding with
barriers.

I hope he wasn't sleep walking :(

The 2014 picture in the review is spectacular!

I've always loved the picture of the picnic table
set up on the tree. We took one like that a few
years ago at Twin Lakes in October. I just love
it.

You have to be extremely brave to work on that
bridge. I don't like step ladders. Hats off to
all of them.
