Elaine Robbins must have a lot of patience, just look at these pictures of her feeding several chipmunks in her Lake Linden yard. I'm sure it must have taken some time to sit there quietly, holding out peanuts for these guys and waiting for them to get brave enough to come in and grab one. Then even more time to wait it out for the day they finally climb up her leg to sit in her lap for lunch. I'd say she had to be brave, too, as I'm not sure I could have sat still once it started up my leg.
Look at the cheeks on these chipmunks, too. It always amazes me how much those cheeks can expand. Elaine is helping them to get their winter store of food stocked up, as I'm sure they take all that they can stuff in their cheeks and run off to hide it away for the long, cold days coming UP.

Very cute, but right now I'm wondering how many pounds-per-square inch it would take from the show in the 3rd photo, to create some serious damage. (Must be the meds talking.)

Love watching chipmunks, as long as they're not destroying something.
Probably not a good idea to get any wild animals accustomed to being fed. Although the intentions may be good it actually does more harm than good.
