Paul Roberts is visiting here in the Keweenaw and sent in some shots of his trip to the shores of Lake Superior. He said that that waves were "nuts" that day, adding that he figured there were some 15 foot waves crashing onto shore, making it downright scary, but really awesome to see at the same time.
Then, as if just seeing the Big Lake in all her glory wasn't enough, Paul was gifted with a glimpse of a small rainbow over the water. It's faint in the third photo, but it's there, shooting down from the clouds in the middle of the photo. No matter when you visit Lake Superior's shores, she always has something beautiful in store for your viewing pleasure.

Mlive had a 'test' you took to tell you the place you should live in Michigan. It told me i should move back to Marquette. Not a big surprise considering you get to see scenes like this every day! Thanks Paul!

Awesome photos, Paul! Thank you for sharing! I love the mood in these, with all the shades of grey and the motion in them.

I never tire of seeing pictures of Gitche Gumee. Her faces vary from smooth as glass to a downright mean Mother Hubbard. Thanks for sharing. Even a small pot of gold is better than none.

It was the craziest day at the lake I've ever had! Finished the evening off with a Copper Kings game! Doesn't get much better than that!

How could anybody tire of seeing the awesomeness of that lake? Love these photos and the review is great, too.
