The colors have really begun to explode out in the Traprock Valley Area near Lake Linden and Jean Dessellier takes us on a tour with her over the weekend. She captured the hues of the changing leaves in reflections, along roadways, in the woods and along the Traprock River and Falls.
You can see the yellows and deep orange colors are bursting out right now and it seems to have happened overnight. It is much later than usual for the Copper Country area and that has to do with the warmer temperatures we've had the past few weeks. I guess that fooled the trees into thinking it was still summer!
Just in case you're wondering where the Traprock River Falls (also known as Riverside Park Falls) in the last photo are located, you can click on the following link for more information: Traprock River Falls.

Beautiful colors! We were there this time of year a couple of years ago and went to the top of Mt. Bohemia to take in the colors. All I can say about the colors in the UP is spectacular. You just don't see all the oranges out here. I really miss that.
Gorgeous pictures today. I particularly like the reds. Great camouflage for the approaching winter.

As Brandenburg puts it, “If a country is wild enough for wolves, then it is wild enough for the human spirit.”....another reason to be satisfied with our life in the U.P.!
