Joy Ziemnick has the perfect vantage point overlooking Lake Superior. She gets to watch the sky change from morning to night each and every day and today she shares some of the various faces the sky over Superior wears.

There are mornings that the sky is blue, yet cloudy and other mornings when a fog hangs just over the Big Lake as the rising sun colors the sky above it. Some mornings even sport a double rainbow in the midst of the color from the sunrise in the eastern sky.

Then when evening arrives the sun comes more into Joy's western view, shining out from the clouds that hover over Superior. While just a short time later it colors the sky a brilliant hue - red sky at night, sailor's delight. Even the night sky holds beauty from where Joy looks out, with just a sliver of the moon and the planet Venus showing up just after the sun has set. Indeed, Joy has the best seats in the house!

Great pictures of a changing sky. I like the fog over the lake picture the best. Not a big fan of fog but I like the picture.

What a great place to call home! The last one of the Moon and Venus are my favorites. Thanks Joy!

I've never seen a double rainbow or even a single
rainbow when is was so cloudy.
That picture is breathtaking.

All beautiful images of the many mooods of sky and
lake. I think also that there is an eagle in the
first one, just above the trees.
