You know fall has definitely arrived here in the Keweenaw, when the pumpkins and cornstalks start appearing to decorate for the season. Patty Rheault and family had quite the harvest of their pumpkin patch, so many that they were able to line their sidewalks with them. All sizes, colors and shapes included, some ripe and colored bright orange, others still in the ripening stage of green. I rather like all the different stages of ripeness in these photos, as it adds to the shot that they aren't all uniform in size and color.

Patty also harvested corn stalks to be used as fall decorations around a lamppost or mailbox. She's selling the corn stalks by the bundle ($5 each), so if you're in the Bootjack area, stop by and pick up a bundle to make your home fall festive.

Very nice Fall pictures. This is my favorite time of the year. I love the Pumpkin/Halloween/Thanksgiving season. Looks like there has been some rain in the Yoop. It was over 100 degrees here in California this week. Hopefully we get some rain soon. Thanks for the great pics!

Interesting variety and it looks like it has been raining, but I'm sure the sump handled it as well as any pump-can.

I like fall, the change in temperature as much as the apples and fall colors. We had kind of a disconnect here in SE Michigan a few weeks ago when we had nearly 90F temps (summer) but still less daylight (fall). It felt like it was getting dark surprisingly early, because subconsciously hot=long twilight.
