Barb Bouwkamp recently did a short study of webs…the spider kind, not the world wide web kind. Most of the time folks think of spider webs as a nuisance, like when they're outside the kitchen window, in the doorway you walk through or up near the entry way ceiling where you can't quite reach to clean them up. But if you stop and truly look at them, you realize what a work of nature's art these intricately woven webs really are.
Today's webs have the morning dew still hanging on them, making them show up much more than usual. It always amazes me that such finely spun webs like these can hold the weight of the wetness of a mist or the dew like this. I'm glad Barb took the time to stop and snap the webs, kind of like stopping to smell the flowers, only there's no scent in today's stop, just the beauty we sometimes forget to behold.

Not a fan of spiders, but spider webs are so cool. And then there's always "Charlotte's Web". She did VERY cool things with her webs. Love these pictures.

In history-as-politics, the "future" is that vacuum in time waiting to be filled with the antics of statesmen. Ed Abbey Don't think our future looks to bright...

Is there anything quite as delicate and lovely as a spiderweb covered with dew! Amazing pics!

All the spider webs … just warming up for Halloween? (Especially the eerie, spooky #1.)

These webs are really something. I will tell my Cousin( and your friend) Pat about them when I visit her in Virginia on Friday.
