Over in Baraga, Donna MacIntosh has been busy filling feeders and dropping seed on the ground for some of her many visitors. She captured one of the squirrels that comes around in various poses here today, with my favorite being the first shot. The sun is hitting that guy's tail just right to make it seem like it's glowing. My second favorite squirrel photo is the third one, with him standing upright like that. They sure can be amusing creatures, along with how mean and destruction they also can be.

Another favorite of Donna's photos today for me, is the chipmunk shot. Oh my, that picture looks like she got right down there on the ground, face to face with him. It's so close-up, I was waiting for his nose to twitch. What a fun expression on his little critter face. Makes you wonder what he was thinking about Donna as she snapped away with her camera.

The Hummer in last photo is forever suspended in mid air with this shot. She must have just gotten her fill of nectar from Donna's Buffet and was headed back home for a short rest, before repeating the process all over again to keep her energy level UP to flap those little wings so fast like she does.

What a wonderful way to give back, by feeding God's critters. The bonus is being able to see them up close and personal like Donna always gets to do.

LOVE my critters! Those squirrels are nasty...I
put sunflower seed (I call it Chippy seed
now...not bird seed!) on the slab for the
chips, and I scratch away at them....then when
I come in the squirrels head for that...even
tho I have thrown some out on the ground for
them..so I go back out and the squirrels
scamper away, then turn around to watch when I
leave, so they can come back..that's what the
one standing is doing...he's watching from the
neighbor's grill! I loved the sun on the one
squirrel's tail...and that little chippy face
IS cute...I was snapping a bunch of pics, and
he was watching me then took off to the
seed...And it's almost time for the Hummers to
head south too...One of the lady's I used to
work with says to "Put your feeders out on
Memorial Day and take them in on Labor Day"...I
use that one!

Those darn squirrels will clean you out. They make
me so mad. We, too, would scatter seed for them
all over the ground so they'd leave the bird
feeders alone, but no way. Chippies are so
friendly. If you work at it, they will eat right
out of your hand. Love chippies....squirrels, not
so much. Great pictures!

Wow! I had a fun, busy summer and now I am back to check in on Pasty again, and am greeted with this great shot of that squirrel! What a great shot - as they all are. Good job Donna!! Thank you for such a nice treat to see such cute creatures. I love them all!

I am kind of fighting a war with squirrels and
chipmunks right now. They keep chewing into my
sauna ceiling. I have found a repellent spray-
hopefully it will work. Still-i found the photos to
be most awesome!
