Barb Bouwkamp sent in these beautiful Sweet Pea photos, wondering if I had already featured these pretty wildflowers recently. I hadn't of course, so that's why were enjoying them today!

To me, these light pink and deep pink beauties are in the same class of flowers as dandelions. Hold on, before anyone jumps in to correct me, I'm talking about the bouquet from your little boy or girl class of flowers. These, along with the dandelions are the ones that many thoughtful little ones pick to bring a smile to their Mom and/or Dad's face. I bet that's one of their main purposes for being put on this earth…just to bring simple joy to everyday people. I like that thought!

Nice pictures of wild flowers. I don't remember ever seeing any of those sweet pea flowers. Probably to late to find some this year. I'll have to google them and find out when they grow. And Mary, that is a nice thought:)

I had never been interested much in wild flowers
until the folks here at Pasty Central got me
juiced. Now I look for them and photograph them. I
must say though, my recent 2 week stint the last
week in July and 1st week in August was
disappointing. I guess I was just in between the
flourish of Spring and Fall blossoms. There was
some color but no where near what I was used to
seeing.

Beautiful pictures though.

I also need to quit using Chrome as that's
what causes the terrible formatting.
