When Kathy Archambeau was traveling along the Paradise Road in the Houghton/Chassell area, she spotted a multitude of wildflowers growing and just had to stop to capture them just the way they are.

Nature is amazing, the way beauty like this can just grow somewhere, out of nowhere, when it hasn't been planted by someone to start with. I'd have to say it has to do with a "hand" from above, coloring our world to brighten our days. I'm thankful today, that Kathy took the time the day she snapped these shots, to stop and smell the flowers!

No planted garden is prettier than these wild sown fields! Thanks for sharing, Kathy!

Mary...your comments reminded my of an article by "Adam Frank" (theoretical/computational astrophysicist). He talks about finding the time to notice the beauty that's all around us.

I think it takes most of us until we're much older
before we really appreciate the beauty all around
us. I know didn't when I was younger, , and I
don't believe my own kids are as appreciative as I
am. Last weekend my hubby and I were sitting
outside on our patio just watching and listening
to the birds, looking at clouds, admiring the
flowers, etc. My son asked us if that's what life
is like when you get "older", lol. We just said
that it sure is. He said "WOW"!! Omgosh, it just
made me laugh.

Have a great day, all! And these are beautiful
pictures for sure. I enjoyed them all!

When we were kids, Grandma would take us to pick
Queen Anne's Lace, and you put different stems in
different colored waters (use little
bottles/glasses and food dye) and the next
morning, they were all different colors! Way cool~

Nothing finer than a field of wildflowers.
