It was my privilege earlier this month to visit Mt. Horace Greeley early one morning to maintain the equipment that brings Internet service to many of the remote places here in the Keweenaw Peninsula. Before work began, I just couldn't pass the opportunity to watch the sunrise from this unique vantage point. With the camera aimed toward NNE, the blazing sun is below the horizon, just behind Brockway Mountain Drive.

Before my own dear wife made that journey a little over three months ago, I promised her I would be watching the sun rise and set for both of us from now on. As I stood this particular day marveling at the beauty of the morning sky, a verse came to mind: "...giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in light."

I believe Jerome Pisson name should have been on
the Memorial list. He passed a way about 2 weeks
ago. Jerome was well know in the Hubbell-Laake
Linden area He was 92 years of age. Jerome was in
the US Marines during WWII and was involved in a
lot of action in the South Pacific. May he rest
in Peace!

What a beautiful sentiment, Charlie. There are many places and
events that I try to see not only for myself, but for my son. He sure
did love the U.P.

The month end review is always beautiful but your video, Charlie, is flat out spectacular! How great is it that the sunrise was so beautiful the day you were up there!

Our family has had a lot of Home-goings in July, but in particular i remember my Grandma and mother on this last day of July.
