Here's a follow up to our Fourth of July parade last week. Our thanks to Jack Deo from viewsofthepast.com for preserving this old newsreel found in the basement of the Delft Theatre. He points out that the beard contest winner happens to be the real life murder victim in "Anatomy of a Murder". I also noticed another distinguished gentleman in the crowd, between 2:42-2:45, with the hat, clapping his hands. I would really like to know if this is J.T. Reeder, whose photography we have showcased here on previous Shoebox Memories

Reeder?
Fascinating stuff being discovered every day about the U.P. and a zillion other topics. I saw the stat recently that every day, over 30 years worth of video is uploaded to Youtube. Every now and then, 3 minutes of that is well worth watching.

Have a good week :o)

What a interesting connection between the centennial and the murder!

I bet someone out there will know if that is Mr. Reeder; he looks very distinguished !

Thanks Charlie!

Have a great week everyone!
