For the past few weeks, we've been treated to photos of the wide variety of flowers that are blooming here in the Copper Country and today's dose of beauty comes from Barb Bouwkamp. She was busy hunting down as many colorful specimens as she could find, with the help of Parker, her four-legged companion.

They had their work cut out for them, but oh boy, did they do a good job bringing us a number of flowers that we haven't seen on these pages for awhile. Barb provided me with all the names, all except for the sixth photo, titled "Pink things". That's the best she could do and myself, too, as I have no idea what they are either, but they sure are pretty little pink things. Perhaps one of our viewers will be able to enlighten us on the name.

I almost forgot, there are more than just flowers here today. Along with the beauty, comes the beast…well, maybe not really a beast, but if you get stung by it, you might think it's one. Neat shot of the bee having its lunch, too!

Great set of pix! Parker & the Lupines...sounds like a new sitcom.

The Keweenaw has a lot of different flowers to share with the world. Thanks 4 sharing.

The lupines are my favorite! And adding Parker is a nice touch! All our tiger lilies down here are orange, so the yellow one is a nice change.

not a real fan of Lupines, but Parker takes the
cake! :)

Couldn't tell you one flower from the next, but they are nice to look at I guess, lol. Parker on the other hand.... Great looking Dog!! What a great place for Parker to run!!

"Pink Things" could be fallen flowers of Mountain Laurel, Kalmia latifolia

Love these!! And omgosh, I just cracked up at the
"pink things" as I have "pink things" growing in my
yard which I have no idea what they are. I've had
all of these, except the chives, growing in my yard.
What a gorgeously colorful time of year!!

I "think" I concur on Mountain Laurel. I discovered this website with a tool for identifying blossoms.

The best I could come up with was this Mountain Laurel, although it is more white than pink.

The variety of species on this planet always amazes me. What is even more amazing is that it is estimated that over 80 percent of all species is still unknown.

Use the Chive flowers to decorate your Deviled
Eggs with. They taste like onions....are
completely edible, and are stunning on that
plate!!
