Today's scenes are all from the short video that follows them, signature landmarks of the Keweenaw. But "Mortons on the Move" also crafted some beautiful landscapes in this aerial tour around the peninsula, a pleasant way to spend 3 minutes and 34 seconds.
Thanks to all who turned out yesterday at PastyFest in Calumet. Brave souls they were, as about a half hour into the event the ominous sky exploded into lightning, hail, wind and raging dark clouds of fury. We were stunned by the sudden unleashing of nature's forces and torrential rain that lasted over an hour.
What a wonderful time of year and a great place to be!
The "Keweenaw Flyover" was Fantastic! What a great way to start my Sunday, I could watch that everyday!!
Wish I could have made it to PastyFest Charlie, I would have bought you one or two.
I will be in the Soo again this week, It'll be great to cross the Mac, I wish I could detour west after my calls in the Soo, but.....???

All the beautiful places I enjoyed by land I can now enjoy by air. Now, how nice is that?

Michigan's Keweenaw By Air: An excellent video, But with wickedly brutal editing!
I have a habit of right-clicking on any such video then choosing Copy Video URL from the pop-up menu, and pasting that URL in a new browser tab. (This practice began when I found that some embedded videos don't allow viewing "full screen" mode, though that isn't a problem with this one.)
Having done so, one of the additional videos suggested by YouTube was this video (22 min. + 32 sec.): (click →) Discovering - Keweenaw Geology.
(Cap'n Paul, where are you? 😉)

I couldn't tell which smokestack it was but at 1:04 you can see what seems to be loose concrete just waiting to fall.

I'm with you UC! I could watch that video every day!
Glad everyone hung in there at Pasty Fest and made it thru the storm ~ hearty souls! I'm sure it was well worth the wait. And for once, those who were a bit late may have lucked out a bit.
