Everywhere you go here in the Keweenaw, there are beautiful things growing. That is what makes spring one of my favorite seasons with everything coming alive and growing from buds to beauty and sprouts to trees. We've been inundated with rain showers lately and all these plants are loving it.

Joy Ziemnick enjoys all the new plants growing, also, so she spent some time outdoors in hunt of the special beauty to share with us all. I love that she has some of the more unusual flowers pictured here today. Yet she still found the common growth of new needles and trees, making them picture-worthy and frameable. It sure is great to have so much color here UP North again!

What a visual feast today! I'm headed back out to Isle Royale this morning, and this excellent window on nature is a great way to start the day :o)
