A group of folks were on the trails this past weekend, riding from Laurium to Copper Harbor on side by side UTV machines. It was a cool and rainy day, but with layers of clothes and rain gear, it was a great ride with amazing views of Lake Superior along the way. The best part about riding the trails in the rain, is no dust to breathe in then.

The mother/daughter team of Janet Dulong and Ashley Saatio documented the fun day with today's photos, showing the excursion from beginning to end. Once we arrived in Copper Harbor, everyone got out of the muddy gear and relaxed at the King Copper Motel, right on Lake Superior's shore. It was an awesome day exploring the Keweenaw on the back trails, with good people and great food, too!

I wouldn't enjoy the mud, but otherwise it sure
looks like a fun time.

Deb...if I had to choose between the mud and the dust, the mud would win every time. When it's dry and dusty, you're covered in it and with my allergies, I have to wear a dust mask and a bandanna over my mouth and nose. I'll take the mud any day, you just have to be dressed for it...rain gear keeps you dry and clean underneath!! ;-)

Okay, Mary. I wouldn't like dust or mud, lol.
