Yesterday we viewed the drama of clouds over Lake Superior, today we get to see "after the storm" over the Big Lake. Stacey Flood described seeing and photographing these rainbow photos as a surreal experience for her, and one of the most amazing of her life! She was in Eagle Harbor when she snapped the rainbow photos, so now we all know where the pot of gold really is. I suspected it was always right here in the Keweenaw, but now we have proof!
I don't think I've ever seen the double rainbow so vivid like this one. You normally see the 'second' rainbow faintly, but this one is just as bright and colorful as the main one. I can understand why Stacey felt it was such an amazing experience, as it looks like she was close enough to reach out and touch those colors. She added that she thought the angels were shining through for them and she might just be right…it sure looks like they were creating a colorama right before their eyes that evening.

That last rainbow pic is so near by, I've never seen one that close! You sure were lucky, Stacey! That experience was a pot o' gold, indeed! Thanks for sharing with us.

Great job of capturing the rainbow. The last picture makes it look like a short swim to that pot of gold.
