So, if you've been a Pasty Cam viewer for any amount of time, you know that Joe Kirkish's favorite Lake Superior beach is Great Sand Bay. That's where he snapped today's photos while waiting for a good sunset to photograph. He said he was looking up and down the beach and saw all these prints, so he decided to snap some pictures of them.
The prints in the sand ranged from human, to animal, to Joe wasn't quite sure what. Bare feet, feet in tennis shoes, paws, claws and even a print where someone with a sense of humor sat in the sand for a butt print. While Joe was occupying his time capturing all these prints in the beach sand, the sun was steadily going down and Joe was finally rewarded for taking the time to wait with that last shot of what he called a "honey-syrupy sunset". Come to think of it, it is the color of honey and quite gorgeous at that!
p.s. - Charlie passes along thanks from the Hopper Family for the condolences on Edie’s passing. Joe Kirkish was among Edie’s final visitors at PortagePointe, where Joe spends time with the seniors reading, showing movies, visiting. They appreciate all he does for so many people in our area.

Great Sand Bay is one of the most beautiful places in the keweenaw--certainly my favorite beach too. Great pics!

Great Sand Bay pix! Just curious, is a butt print admissible evidence in a court of law?
