When Patty Rheault's grandkids come to visit, there's always something fun to do and it doesn't involve anything that has to be plugged in, either. On this spring day, the kids were out with their rain boots on, enjoying the puddles and mud. Now if that's not a sure sign of Spring having sprung, I don't know what is. So no matter if we still get some accumulations of springtime snow, we know it won't be here long.
After splashing around in that puddle, the girls decided to break out their creativity and sat down to decorate Grandma's sidewalks. One of them drew her design using the chalk, while the other one covered the sidewalk with broad strokes and then drew in the chalk dust with her finger. It's amazing how the simplest things like mud puddles and chalk can bring out the creative side of children. Hooray for spring and playing outdoors!

Something about youngsters and water puddles that are inseparable. Nice artwork for the up and coming artists. Thanks for sharing.

When the grandkids come out here, they love playing with sidewalk chalk. And it keeps them outside, which is amazing for kids in this day and age. Sometimes the simplest things can be the most fun!!
