This weekend I stumbled upon a bunch of photos that our Eagle River neighbor Mary Long had given us some years ago. I don't recall seeing this photo with it's historic labeling of the disposition of the former buildings. If you're familiar with Eagle River, you will recall seeing the fireplaces that coincide with the chimneys you can see on the middle building. Back then this entire lot down by present-day Eagle River Inn was built up, like in a big city. Today it's only a wooded lot with thick underbrush and no trespassing signs (and ruins of a couple of old fireplaces). More to follow up on this next Sunday.
Hope you had a Happy Easter. I spent it at PortagePointe in Hancock with my wife Edie, who sends a thank-you to all for your prayers on her behalf as she continues recovery from surgery, and all the complications of Type-1 diabetes that go with it.
Continued prayers for Edie! I'm type 2, and it's a day to day struggle sometimes. KEEP ON THE MEND EDIE!!:=))

Someone said "Life is just one thing after another." Positive prayers and thoughts to Edie and to you, UC. May we all receive a blessing this Easter Sunday.

Fun pictures today!! I didn't know Eagle River when it was like this. Love the wavy lake in the background.

I don't remember when Eagle River looked like that either.
