It has actually been some time since we featured a panoramic view, which Charlie had dubbed "PASTYVISION", back when it was started, but what a way to bring it back today here with these beauties from Taana Kalliainen. Taana was on the Houghton side of the Portage Canal when she snapped these the day after the big storm last week that turned the Copper Country white again.
Even though we had been enjoying warmer temperatures and the melting of the snow, the aftermath of this storm was so beautiful, it was worth all the hassle it brought with it. Of course I say that as one who didn't lose power for hours and hours. I'm sure those folks that did, had a more difficult time finding the beauty of the storm. That's where Taana enters to showcase it all for us here. Her artistry really needs no words, for as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words and we're over the 4000 word limit right now!

You are getting old when you wish you hadn't been invited... instead of wondering why you weren't!

Those are wonderful pictures of what is, hopefully, the last wintery trick Ma Nature played on us until next Oct. I must admit, they do look nice.

Wonderful photos! It was sooo lovely everywhere after the storm--with the snow frozen on all the trees.

Beautiful! Mies Van Der Rohe was right: sometimes less is more.
