Today's photos were snapped by Sharon Bodenus who owns Unique Photography in Gwinn, so she's never too far from Marquette where she took the first picture of the Ore Dock in Marquette Harbor. If you look real close…on the far right, you can just see the Marquette Lighthouse off in the distance too.
The next two photos show the amazing power of the wind and the waves on Lake Superior. Sharon and a fellow photographer spent some time at the break wall watching, photographing and videoing the power and fury of the Big Lake when the winds is blowing and the waves are crashing. She said it was so much fun to sit there on a log, videotaping the amazing Great Lake called Gitche Gumee. We're lucky that we can sit here in the warmth of our homes, enjoying the scene without getting sprayed or chilled. Click on the video, then sit back and enjoy!
FOOTNOTE: Yesterday's Miners Castle and waterfall shots from Marilynn Bachorick were really beautiful. If you missed them, just click here: Friday, March 4th, to take a look at them!

love, love, love, the video, but, the music is a little distracting.

I"m with Mickill about the music; sure got me longing for da UP though... I would have gone last summer but my new rescue dog had demodectic mange so awful. This summer we're going though! She is shy & highly sensitive. I'm thinking spending time by the big lake may be calming for both of us <3

Superior pictures of the harbor and the waves of the lake. I like the little patch of blue water in the first picture.

What a treat for those of us who can't be there...thanks for taking the time and the effort! I agree about the music...the waves make their own.

Stunning photos. Wonder what Mother Superior will look like when I'm back next week.

Kosk In Toronto: I would say you should see a lot of blue. We have 9 days in a row of 40 and 50 degree temps coming up and only dropping below freezing during the night once, and that will be 31 degrees. Mother Superior should be showing off her finest blue color.
