Deb S., yes it's kind of hilarious that the media panics at the onset of maybe half a foot of snow such as expected today in our neck of the woods in northeastern CT. You'd think it was the apocalypse at the doorstep! I'll always remember (kinda hard to forget, actually) the three winters I spent in the Copper Country. It sure taught me how to drive in "real" snow. Folks around here just don't have any SISU, I guess! Donna; wouldn't an apple pasty be called an apple turnover? Back about 40 yrs. ago the Parkside Restaurant and Bakery in Calumet used to make them, absolutely delicious.
