Believe it or not, it got UP to 47° here in the Keweenaw this past weekend, so there were plenty of people out enjoying the sunny warmth, including a few brand new residents. They kind of resemble each other, so I think they might be related.
Stacey Sedar's kids and nephews teamed UP to build a snowman out in Bootjack. He seems to be enjoying all the attention from the kids and just being a part of the fun.
Over in Atlantic Mine, Jennifer Niedzwiecki's family added a new member who looks as proud as can be that he's finally got a family of his own.
The next snowman was created by Ashlee Harvey's son, over in Hancock where he got all lit UP, too! This guy even has a mustache and looks like he's still rooting for the Packers. Maybe someone should tell him they're not in the Superbowl this coming Sunday.
Back in Lake Linden, Kassy Kallio's son Willie looks quite happy with the results of his labors to make his creation. His snowman looks like he could be from France with that tam on his head. I think he's just as happy as his smiling builder. After all that snowman work, it was time for some sledding fun and Willie found a good hill to zip down, with snow flying as he goes. That face in the last photo says it all... what an awesome day UP North!

Such wonderful pictures - every one of them! :) (Being on the back side of 40, my sledding days are long gone). And the snowmen built - very creative!

I so enjoyed all the happy pictures today! I especially love the one of the little boy with the "cool" snowman!

Some fine looking snowmen and fine looking builders this morning. I'm sure they had a lot of fun building them. The sled ride looks like a lot of fun also, but I am sure I would hit one of those trees if I were to attempt it.

The second to last photo looks like he was falling off that sled!

Wolterdr, I was sledding with my grandchildren in my late 50's. I had a blast and so did they. They think I'm cool. Their friends all call me the cool grandma. Sledding knows no age.

I like that joke, Gordon. My daughter said it was a great weekend to go tubing at Al Quaal in Ishpeming this past weekend. It was warm there too.
