In case you're wondering what it's like to drive around the Copper Country during the winter, we bring you to Jennifer Niedzwiecki's driveway during our last snow event. That's her vehicle, stuck in the driveway of their Atlantic Mine home. Jennifer said they really got nailed with the snow during this crazy storm and her photos here today show you just how much.

It sure doesn't look like the kids were minding the snow at all, once they got their snowpants and winter gear on to play in it. Such exuberance for the simple things, like being outside in the crisp winter air, tossing fluffy snow into the air with pure abandon. It's good to be a kid in the Copper Country!

See, here's the difference! The Yoopers are enjoying the snow and the people on the East coast are ready to freak out over the storm. Prepare, hunker down, enjoy it and relax people!

To be young! BTW, I keep forgetting to remark on the review. I like the deer and the scantly clad ladies, but not necessarily in that order.

The youngsters are thoroughly enjoying winter. Somewhere between the driveway and the back deck the enjoyment value of snow made a quantum leap.

I loved Jennifer's pictures of kids having fun in the snow, but was
especially fond of the old time tobogganing photo in the review.
Cannot imagine rolling off into the snow wearing a skirt. Brr...

I always loved driving in the snow UP there...well
most of the time. There was that one day...That
being said, roof sledding, snow shoeing, and all
other forms of outdoor winter activities (clearing
off those roofs and snow blowing included!) are
always a hoot. And yes. If you are wondering I
did get stuck A LOT! :-) Especially that one
day. That didn't turn out so well. But I still
love winter! :-)

Yay snow for some good U.P. snowmobiling!

What fun pictures!! Oh, to be a kid
again...though I have gone out sledding with the
grandchildren and felt like a kid again :-)

I love the deer picture but especially love the
2008 and 2009 pictures with the sun setting (or
rising) over the lake and the road. Those are
canvas worthy shots!!
