Here in the Keweenaw, some people walk their dogs in the winter, others snowshoe with them and really give their pooch a workout jumping and running in the snow. The latter is what Brooke Gubacz did with her dog, Dixie, up on what the locals here call "the tracks". It's actually the snowmobile trail that runs behind Lake Linden, but once was the railroad tracks when mining was booming here in the area.
It sure looks like Brooke and Dixie picked a beautiful day to be out there with everything covered in white, puffy snow. If a good wind came along, all that snow would be on the ground in minutes, causing a temporary white-out in the process. What a great way to spend a wintry day in the North Country.

Just a prayer for Edie that she is in no pain or discomfort and that we hope all gets better. " Love Jesus as he loves you with a pierced heart, hold his hand so he can support you with his broken body, and walk with him on the pathway of life blessing everyone you see. And may you see the face of Christ in everyone you meet along the way and allow Jesus to carry you if you should fall". Thanks Charlie for everything.

Been up on those "tracks" hundreds of times, but never when it was snow covered. My hubby loves to take walks up there when we're visiting my mom. It's a great area and such fun for kids.

I wish I were Dixie for long enough to run the "tracks" with her. Looks like a lot of fun.
