Jacky Monette is still a kid at heart when it comes to playing in the snow, so she didn't hesitate for a minute when her five year old nephew, James wanted to build a snowman. She was right out there helping him, but they didn't stop with one, they built James' whole family, instead. Aunty Jacky didn't just build snowmen with him, though, she built memories for him to pull up some day in the future, maybe even when he's an adult himself, going out to help his kids build a snowman. He'll look back on this day and remember how Aunty Jacky took the time to spend it with him and how important he was to her that day.
The remaining photos were sent in by George Beveridge who was up bright and early a couple days ago when the rising sun decided to paint the skies over the Keweenaw a beautiful, deep pink. What a great way to start any day…time spent with children and nature, too.

Gorgeous sunrise, George! Thanks for sharing it with us!
Maybe next time the snowpeople can be sitting on the tractors in the background!

Those aren't "copy and paste" snowmen, those are each by each snowmen. Looks like they had lots of fun. Also a nice combination of sky, clouds, trees and snow in the other pictures.

When temps are in the high 20's to low 30's, it's fun to go out and play in the snow. Today it is -18 here. I think it's going to get up to -3, though. We're having a heat wave. This is awful! You can't breathe out there so I think I'll stay inside. Love the pictures!
