When Aladino Mandoli and his wife Connie were headed UP North to the Keweenaw recently, they couldn't resist a stop at Canyon Falls for a hike to see the water still flowing and the sunshine shining brightly that day. I love the way Dino captured the sun differently in all three of the photos here. First like a shining star with bright rays shooting out from its center, then like a smaller star, sparkling through the trees. And finally as a mini-ball of brightness shining above them at the Falls.
It was actually a family hike, but one of their family members had a free ride on this one. If I'm not mistaken, that's "Leonard" their four-legged baby in the front carrier, all wrapped up in a blanket. Talk about living the life. I think this pooch is well loved!

Great captures of Ma Nature. Winter in pictures is much nicer than it really is.

Beautiful pictures, including the review. I love Canyon Falls, but have never been there in the winter so thanks for taking me there.
I'm with Duane, winter makes for some gorgeous pictures and is very misleading, lol. However, we're above zero this week and it feels like we're having a heat wave.
