Christmas is all around us this time of year, so we end this week with a look at some of the decorations that have come our way here UP North.
Chad Johnson starts off the decorating with one of the most beautiful Christmas trees I've ever seen. You can tell from his photo, that the tree is a good size one, but when Chad said it was 10 feet tall, I was amazed! He special ordered this one from a local seller, to be sure it was the size he wanted. It fits perfectly in the bay window and with his décor.
Next, Nancy Van Evera shares the wooden reindeer that her hubby made for her. She said he had made her a pair just like these, 24 years ago and after 18 of those years outside, they had seen better days. But never fear…Joe (her hubby) surprised her with a new set of deer this year. Not only cute, but sentimental, too!
We go back inside to check out Judy Byykkonen's Christmas village all lit up and bordered by not one, but two Christmas trees and a train en route, also. I like that Judy has one tree that's bright white and another that's green…and both with minimal decorations so as to not take away the effect of the lighted village.
Once again, back outside, we head over to Tamarack, where Alicia Reed snapped a shot of her daughter in front of the giant Santa in their yard. Or wait…he's holding a sign that says, 'North Pole'…so maybe they aren't really here in the U.P. after all. Either way, it is a great Christmas memory for her daughter to have in years to come.
And to conclude our decoration tour, we head over to the Brimley area, where Brenda Leigh was up to her usual outdoor explorations, enjoying the new fallen snow and capturing the way nature decorates for Christmas here in the U.P. Beautiful, indeed!
It truly is beginning to look a lot like Christmas, especially in the Keweenaw. There's no doubt anymore that we'll have a white one, since we have gotten anywhere from 16 to just a few inches in various places from Chassell north. No more dreaming of a white Christmas folks, it's here!

These pictures are awesome. Love them all, but especially that last one. As always, Brenda, you've discovered beauty out there where the rest of us don't dare go, lol. Good for you!

Very nice holiday pix! And with no snow in sight, we are still dreaming of a white Christmas in SE-MI and it looks like we will have to keep on dreaming. Oh well, just like the Lions, there is always next year. :-)

Nice pics...lol Alex (Lions fan here) I'm with ya on that one...but we always got Green and White to back us up

Lol Alex and Mrfist. I'm a Lions fan too. But I'll take maize and blue over green and white. However, green and white is my 22nd fave.
We have a little snow on the ground but not enough to cover it. So that's great plenty.

I could never come up with the commentary every day the way Mary does. She's definitely the right person for that job. We all owe her a huge "thank you"!!

Looks like it's time to get my Charlie Brown Christmas tree out of the closet to spruce things up a bit around here. My wife always did the decorating.
