Taking advantage of the snowless weather we've been having, Brenda Leigh and her hubby packed up, hopped on their bikes and headed out in the Brimley area for a picnic in the park at Monocle Lake. Almost unheard of unless you are riding a "fat tire" bike, to be bike riding the second week of December, but with the snowless, 40° weather we've been having, it had to be done.
What a serene scene Brenda's first shot is, looking out at a peaceful Monocle Lake, with the sun just setting over the hill. I can only imagine the quiet they must have experienced there this time of year, without a bunch of other folks out picnicking there too. While Brenda was snapping a few photos, her hubby, Jim got the fire started and began cooking the spareribs they had brought along to grill on the open fire. Can you smell them sizzling? I really have to urge Charlie to get "smell-a-vision" working here for the Pasty Cam.
The third photo was captured by Jim Solko as Brenda was just about to snap the last photo of the spareribs cooking on the grill. You might say she was "caught in the act!"
What a great way to spend an unusual December day UP North.

Unbelievable scenes...this is definitely one winter for the books. It reminds me of the first year I bought the Goldwing and I took a run up to Port Huron on Xmas eve.
