When these Lake Superior sunset photos caught my attention, one of Joy Ziemnick's friends had commented that she has a "front row seat to all its beauty". What a great description to the view that Joy and Jim get to enjoy every day. And not just sunsets, but look at those clouds in her photos here today, too.
I'm not sure you would notice on your own, so I'll point out in the first photo, the small pinpoint of light in the lower left portion of the photo. That's the Upper Entry Lighthouse, which Joy captured while lit to guide any boats that may be passing by.
Of all the photos though, the second one is my favorite, with the sun reaching out from the clouds and illuminating the Big Lake and what looks like perhaps a shining reflection from the water in the air right above, too. Simply amazing to behold!
All of the above! I could sit and look at this scene all day. I must be getting ready to retire.

Very pretty photos, but I doubt Bob Ross would refer to them as "happy little clouds".....

All beautiful. My favorite is the first one with the vastness - the sky, coastline and the light aglow! Superb!

Capt...I can hear Bob Ross saying; "A happy little cloud should live right about.......there."

Looks like I'm not the only one who used to watch Bob Ross paint.;)

Joy, where were you when you took that first pic, the one with the upper entry light on the left? I don't recall any hills that high in that area that would provide a vantage point like that. Or maybe the ol' memory's failing!
