Joy Ziemnick, her hubby Jim and Diesel were recently on the road to Ontonagon County to check out the Bond Falls flowage and found it as beautiful as ever, flowing swiftly. This beauty is located on the middle branch of the Ontonagon River and although it is a natural waterfall, it is enhanced by the nearby Upper Peninsula Power Company dam. I'm guessing that's why it always has plenty of water cascading over, no matter the season.
Even with most of the leaves on the ground that day, the beauty is there, just a slightly different version, which is why it's always a treat to visit in every season, to see the changing surroundings. On the hike in, the leaves were blanketing the forest floor and the sun was casting shadows upon them.
Once they returned to the parking area, Diesel and Jim enjoyed the fallen leaves…well, Jim for sure enjoyed it, and Diesel went along with it in good spirits, letting his human play!

I love those falls. We had such a good time there when we were UP in June. I've always wanted to go there and they didn't disappoint. Beautiful! I have pictures just like these ones, and I made them into luggage tags. Thanks for bringing me back.

Waterfalls are my favorite viewing of all that Mother Nature has to offer. They are very pleasant to my eye and take my mind from concrete highways to thoughts of two rut country roads.
