Beautiful! That was my first reaction to seeing today's photos from Dave Moyle. What an amazing blanket of leaves they have covering their Bootjack yard. Some people would look at this and think only of the work involved in raking all these colorful leaves UP before the winter snow flies, but not Dave and his wife Amy. These two embrace the beauty and enjoy it while they can.
I learned something new with these photos, as I wasn't sure if Amy was in a meditation pose or a yoga pose in the second photo, so I asked her about it. She enlightened me with the following:
"It is a yoga pose, and a form of meditation, really. Namaste means "I bow to you": basically thanking the world and the people around you. Whatever the individual wants to be aware of and thankful for. As you breathe and ground yourself at the beginning and end of a yoga session, usually. What a beautiful world we live in... especially us up here! Loving the seasons and my photographer husband!"
We can all learn something here today from Dave and Amy... to slow down our busy lives and take the time to enjoy everything that surrounds us. See the beauty, smell the beauty, feel the beauty and be thankful!
