Back on September 25th, we featured the World Wide Photo Walk that was going to take place on Oct. 3rd, locally here in Calumet. Today we're treated to a number of photos that Joy Ziemnick snapped while on that walk about town with the group.

Joy's first shot sure made me chuckle. That's her hubby Jim looking like he's running for his life from this historical railroad snowplow. What a fun photo! I'm betting there were more than a few laughs while capturing this one.

After running from the snowplow, they went on to photograph a number of the historical buildings around Calumet. Some with fall colored vines draped around them, which definitely adds to their appeal.
I really like the shots showing the detail of the buildings along the roofline. It's not something you always take notice of, since it's out of your normal field of vision, so going on a group walk like this, makes you stop and really look at the beauty that surrounds you…and the added bonus is taking pictures that you can share with everyone else to make them perhaps stop and look around as they go through their day.

Nice pix...at first glance, I thought the last photo said SELFIES 1896. Rather advanced for that year.

Having a good time and discovering history at the same time. Nice!

I had to chuckle at the first photo, too, Mary, but until I read your description, I didn't know what that was which was about to run down Joy's hubby.;>
Those unique features of the old buildings are beautiful.
Thanks, Joy.

Great pictures. Thanks so much for sharing them. Calumet certainly is the home of many impressive edifices.

Love these photos of stone buildings. And the colorful woodbine this time of year just adds so much dimension and beauty! Very nice...thanks!

Historic + colorful.

Constructing these buildings of stone was certainly some craftsmanship.

Excellent photos! I wish we could have made it up to Calumet
for the event. The entire World Wide concept is so exciting, and
I can't wait to see photos from other venues around the world.
Thanks for sharing these!

What fun that must have been. I laughed
at the first one also!
