Kathy Archambeau snapped these early morning fog photos indicating that fall is on the way. Even though we just went through a summer heat wave here in the Keweenaw, mornings like these pictured are happening more and more and you can even smell fall in the air.

I'm not quite ready for fall to arrive but since it is Labor Day today, we know its right around the corner. School starts for most of the Copper Country kids tomorrow, too, just another indicator that fall isn't far behind.

The bottom two photos are of Kathy's back yard spider guard. She named him Spidey and figures he's protecting their yard from bad bugs. Looks like he came out of his hiding hole to see what was happening or maybe just decided to pose for his debut on the Pasty Cam. Either way, he's designed quite the intricate dwelling hole in the grass. He better watch out for the lawn mower, though, as that could be the end of his stay there.

Have a Happy Labor Day!

Peaceful, calming pix!

Fog is so beautiful if you don't have to drive in it. Thanks for these views, Kathy, and thanks, Mary, for sharing them. Now, I can do without "Spidey". That one looks like the kind that build their webs in low-lying limbs that I always manage to walk through. :<

I love fog also. There's something so serene
about it. I don't like driving in it, though.
And my cousin can keep her spider, lol. Though
I'll take them over snakes!!!

Nice pictures and Happy Labor Day!

The presence of fog makes for some great pictures. These are a good example of that. I hope everyone has fun on their Labor Day picnic today.

Fog has always been a favorite of mine too!

Looks like foggy/misty/damp conditions for the Bridge Walk this morn too.

Safe travels to all on the road today!

can you imagine waking up in the morning to that sight and sitting there with a cup of coffee and taking it all in....

Those little funnel spiders really hurt when they
sting you. It felt like I had touched a live wire.

Beautiful scenery.
